Mouseflow is a user behavior tracking software launched in 2010, which allows you to check and analyze the behavior of your website visitors, using features like heatmaps, form analytics, conversion funnels etc.
Mouseflow helps you understand why people abandon your website, where they lose interest in your content or why they hesitate while signing up for free trials of your products.
When you’re not using a user behavior tracking software like Mouseflow, you basically have to guess why your conversion rates are low or why people don’t engage with your content. On the other hand, tools like Mouseflow help you make informed decisions based on actual data by:
Providing you detailed conversion funnels to see exactly why your conversion rates are low
Allowing you to record your user sessions to see what they do on your website
Giving you website heatmaps that highlight where users click and scroll on your website
And much more
Because of the features like website heatmaps and conversion funnels, Mouseflow is a very useful tool for website owners. Here are some of the advantages of using Mouseflow:
Grab users’ attention to important parts of your website
Easily track user navigation throughout your website
See which sections of your web-pages are attracting more eyeballs
Get full support for dynamic content websites
Get full support for E-commerce section and members-only areas of your website

If you are implementing lead generation strategies on your website, and have created targeted landing pages to capture leads, you can drastically improve the performance of your opt-in forms using Mouseflow’s comprehensive form analytics reports.
And much more
Now let’s talk about some of the disadvantages or limitations of Mouseflow:
Mouseflow doesn’t have an app for iPhone or Android. Considering the popularity of Mouseflow, this is kind of disappointing.
The free version of Mouseflow has very limited features. It is understandable that they wouldn’t provide lots of features in the free plan, but still I wish it had a bit more features.
If you’re totally new to user-behavior tracking and all that stuff, it might take you a while to get used to Mouseflow’s user interface.
Mouseflow doesn’t seem to integrate directly with Facebook or Twitter.
Who Is Mouseflow Ideal For?
Despite the disadvantages mentioned above, you still might want to give Mouseflow a shot. Here is why:
Mouseflow allows you to create multiple user accounts under your main account. This is especially helpful if you’re managing multiple websites and want to give access to Mouseflow dashboards of individual websites to other people.
With Live Streaming feature of Mouseflow, you can watch your visitors’ activities in real-time as if you were looking at them through a CCTV camera.
If you are running a blog, you would want to know if your visitors are having any problems while signing up for your newsletter or adding comments on your blog posts. This is a good way to improve the user engagement on your blog. Similarly, Mouseflow would be great to increase conversions on your E-commerce website.

Mouseflow is used by thousands of customers ranging from individual bloggers to Fortune 500 companies.
Mouseflow is one of the old players in this industry. Over the years, they have made lots of changes to their product and introduced lots of new features that make it a powerful and easy to use software.
Mouseflow handles impressive amounts of data in real time and it does that without causing any problems to its users all over the world.
As I said before, Mouseflow offers lots of features. Let’s see what those features are:
Page-to-page tracking - You can track the entire journey of your visitors whether they visit members-only pages, dynamic pages or checkout pages.
You can track activities of users visiting your website from mobile devices such as smart-phones or tablets. You can see where they swiped, zoomed on, tapped etc.
Session playbacks - You can see playbacks of all of your users’ activities such as mouse movements, clicks, form fills, scrolls etc.
User details - You can get details about each user including operating systems, browsers, visit duration or source of visit.
Live streaming -You can see live streaming of your visitors’ activities. You can see which pages they are visiting, where they are coming from, how long they stay on your site etc.
Funnel analytics - This feature allows you to see how visitors complete certain actions on your website. You can see where they hesitate and where they convert. You get all this data in real time, so you don’t have to wait to know your conversions. For example, if you have a subscription form on your website, you would want to know how many people are filling out that form. In your funnel reports, you will see how many people visit your landing page where you have your subscription form, how many of them decide not to fill it out and how many actually convert. Funnels can be used to track any type of user-flow, not just form fill-ups.
If you want to have detailed tracking of your forms, Mouseflow can do it for you with its Form Analytics reports. You can see if people are having technical problems filling out your forms, or if they are hesitating while filling out your forms. For example, if many users are hesitating while filling out 2-3 fields in a particular form, you might want to remove those fields to increase your conversions.
Using the heatmap feature of Mouseflow, you can see exactly which parts of your website are getting clicked on. You can see where users spend the most amount of time. You can see if they scroll down quickly through a particular section on a page (which is an indication of low engagement for that section). If users are scrolling down quickly, it means that you need to improve your calls-to-action (CTAs) or content in that section to make it more engaging.
In form analytics reports, you can also see things like:
Form refills - how many people re-submitted a field after an unsuccessful submit
Average duration - how much time people spent filling out a field
Blank submits - how many people submitted a form without filling out a particular field
Mouseflow offers 4 plans - Free, Starter, Growth and Pro. It also provides Custom Enterprise plans for large corporations. All plans come with a 30-day money back guarantee.
Free and Starter plans allow you to track one website with 500 and 10,000 monthly page-views respectively. Growth and Pro plans are for big websites with 50,000 and 500,000 monthly page-views respectively.
Free plan comes with some basic features such as session replays, heatmaps, one funnel and one form analytics report. Free plan doesn’t allow access to API and the download/export feature.
Advanced features like exporting, multiple user management, API access, detailed funnels and form analytics are only available in Growth and Pro plans.
